Brittany + Matt | Real Wedding | November 2015

Brittany and Matt were married at The Wallace Lodge in early November. This wedding was extra special for me as the groom (and now, the bride) is family. I was thrilled to be involved in creating such as special day for this lovely couple. Brittany chose a classic navy and white color palette that we accented with rustic touches and loads of greenery. She and her bridesmaids carried bouquets of white hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, veronica, and baby's breath. Matt's boutonniere of white ranunculus and lisianthus was wrapped in a piece satin from our grandmother's wedding dress. Such a lovely and sentimental detail.

The Wallace Lodge features a beautiful stone fireplace with a large wood mantle for which I created a garland of eucalyptus, ruscus, dusty miller, hydrangeas, roses, veronica, and baby's breath. And in the process I learned just how time consuming it is to build a thirteen foot garland by hand! The fireplace became the focal point of the ceremony when the skies opened up moments before the ceremony was set to begin and forced us all indoors. Fortunately, the bride and groom and their bridal party were able to get some beautiful photographs by the water before the storms began. All's well that ends well.

Congratulations Brittany and Matt!
